A Dream In Color
I saw you in a dream last night,
When I awoke I thought I knew
You once more, but it was only
A dream in color.
You kissed me on the floor, and
We danced on the ceiling.
We spun in the unnecessary
Touch of the other half.
Blurry, but clearest of all visions
I was home.
Awoke in a sweat, pretending I
Don't know what's bothering me.
Reading through the laughter,
Etching our names in the tier of
Rust that covers our past,
I was home.
I saw you in a dream last night,
when I awoke I thought I knew
You once more, but it was only
A dream in color.
