A Dream Fell

A frozen memory set in time.. Melts slowly from my aging mind.. Like wax dripping in my hand.. A burning scar begins to expand.. Drifting in and out of what is real.. A fading smile I can barely feel.. Where dreams begin and where they end.. I can taste the air as the clouds descend.. The walls move closer as time is erased.. While sleep was spared and a nightmare faced..
