dreams are beings 
incarcerated inside of sleep,
and we petition for their freedom as poets.

Close your eyes, build a beautiful world
and bring it back in handcuffs.

If dreams are placed in prison then prison would be the ultimate source to usher us towards freedom. It’s a shame so many minds remain locked.

Absolutely. We grow to become as you say. As kids we are more pure with innocent tendencies, until someone or a situation spoon-feed you poisonous knowledge.
