A Dream

Well hidden from view so no one would know
With you I made love on mossy soft ground
Lost in ourselves and lost in the shadows
And covered from sight by trees all around.

We languidly lay and made not a sound
That startled the bees or birds in their nests.
As you and I shared a love without bound
The rabbits played and the squirrels did jest.
Then we slept in the best and most beautiful rest.
