A Dream

I had a perfect dream tonight,
There was no tragedy and fight.
There was a place, there was a home
That everyone could call their own.

There was no loss, there was no pain.
We watched an endless quiet rain.
And everyone was free and safe,
There were no weak, there were no brave.

There were just people as they are,
And everyone shone like a star
With no pretending, with no lies
And with no fear in crystal eyes.

We were together, we were whole,
And every empty broken soul
No longer had to feel alone.
It was a place where I belong.

It was as great as it may seem,
But it was just a lonely dream.
