A Dread Has Come Creeping
Upon me now, a dread has come creeping.
Dreamless, I’m lying awake in my bed.
Into my very bones it is sinking.
Upon me now, a dread has come creeping.
If I only could, I should be weeping,
But I arise to write this poem instead.
Upon me now, a dread has come creeping.
Dreamless, I’m lying awake in bed.
Motif: Gothic
Written by Andrea Dietrich
*Written a while back when I had some stress in my life.
Now using it for the short poem contest part III of Giorgio A.V.
