A Distant Memory

The wind echo's through the trees, As the smell of new beginnings fills the air. In the distance the ocean dances to and thru, It's sweet caress luring a happy but tired soul. The clouds speak many stories, Some sad, some happy, While the sun kissed sky smiles down. The heat of the sand beckons, As I lay for just one minute. Minutes turn to an hour, The beauty surrounding me will not let go. I don't want to forget this moment, Of unexplained freedom. Forever buried deep inside, A memory that means nothing, And yet means the world
