A Disappeared Flock

It nearly was a rude shock, When I cursorily checked the lock, Looking beyond the first block And saw not a sheep in a once stampeding flock: The security there by many judged “A Rock”, That would the painstaking efforts of robbers mock And rather produce them in some dock, If not that day, after the crow of the Earliest Cock ,,, All in a matter of repeated Tick Tock! Which shepherd could bear a disappeared flock? But, Alas! Looking back at me is a disappeared flock!
