A Different Cup

A Different Cup The day is cold, there's no sunshine, I need something to warm me up. It isn't hot tea or coffee, but poetry soup in a cup. I long for a cup of this soup that can warm up the day for me. when writing on good things of life it causes the pen to flow free. Though the sun may refuse to shine, my soul gathers sunshine today. by keeping in mind the blessings God sends as I go on my way. How wonderful is creation, about which there is so much to write, for nature is in abundance there is so much beauty in sight. I have been warmed through from this soup which now has me feeling aglow, and I'm drinking from the saucer, my poetry cup overflows. Vivien Wade, May 16, 2020
