A Desert Storm

I wander on that restless plain, Somewhere between ecstasy and pain Where the common world cannot touch, The piece of my soul that I’ve missed so much. Our bodies were dancing in the dark, Like two long lost loves, who’ve been apart, Somehow reunited on this desert plain Somewhere between pleasure and pain. The attachment I feel has paralyzed me. It’s a white hot ball of intensity It’s a puffy cloud in the desert sky It’s a crashing tidal wave of desire. That long ago and far away Connection that we touched that day. My life has been changed forever I’ll never forget that 12th of September... Our timeless love astonishes me so The strength of it shows me it’s centuries old. It’s something that carries an infinite price Like trying to buy a ray of sunlight. It came on like a crack of thunder.... It’s a brilliant bolt of lightning I am standing under. Rolling like a desert storm. It possesses a mysterious, dangerous charm It gives me a lump in my throat, I can’t swallow It’s something I want to savor so slow It’s evident it’s not an everyday, ordinary love It’s the kind everyone’s been dreamin’ of We got lucky and found it Now there’s no way around it and no way to ground it So let’s grab on and hold it tight in our hearts...
