There is a degree, 
That you can't get off the shelf,
Or buy from someone else, 
That lets the world truly become your oyster,
If you care to grow your own pearl of wisdom.

Thank you so much for reading. I am glad I kept it to this length. I was an early childhood teacher for 30 years and teachers know the value of self learning and do their best to facilitate it. Teachers are now grappling how best to get students to use technology as a tool to for a purpose that makes self learning easier not to make it obsolete. Very best regards David in NZ

Brief, but clever ... I was thinking at first that this begged to be a bit a longer ... but then I read it again and that wordplay finally clicked: oyster ... pearl of wisdom. And I was like, "Ahhh" ... I think it is more snappy like this and, perhaps, adding more lines would just be superfluous.
