A Decision

Today I had an appointment with myself, I told this to everyone, It sounded ridiculous to them, But for me it carried immense importance, As I was waiting for it from so long! I knew it had to be a quiescent place, I chose to be by the riverside, I had made up my mind, I was prepared to make the best use of this occasion. I sat down to look at the river, How calm and sluggish it was! And this helped me to settle. I started thinking of you, The beautiful moments spent together, Moments of fight, Moments of love, Moments of being one, And the moments of undefined feelings! This caused some ripples in the river, With the intensity of my thoughts the ripples grew stronger! I felt something unusual, I guess the river understood, That I was disturbed. The river spoke, “Hey look at me,” “Life is to keep going” it explained. I listened to the water flowing, I knew I have already lost it, And realized there was no point cribbing, As in the road of life, there’s no U turn! I got up with an answer and took a decision, My mind was not clouded anymore, I will set you free from my thoughts, Assured of the fact, I am and will always be special to you, Also a ‘reason’ for you to smile, So if not forget let me forgive, For I want our parting away to be graceful, With this, I will be happy and peaceful!
