A DAY'S CYCLE

The grey house sparrows come
To sit on the window sill
To feed on nuts and seeds
Quite happy having their fill
Satisfying their eating needs.
The bluebird and the woodpecker
They come along here as well
To have their share of seeds
Munching in the morning breeze

Then when the day comes slowly to a close
The sun goes setting in the west
The flowers prepare for their sleep at night
The birds back to their nest
All awaits the new days morning light
To waken up the world again
And in its return we delight
Embracing it all like a welcomed friend
