A Daydream

A Daydream A daydream crashes into my deepest gentle night's sleep holding sweet those memories I wish forever to keep Of your sweet touch and beautiful, happy soothing smiles those that I longed for as we were separated thousands of miles Such visions I have of your beautiful lips and dark hair so real I felt I was already in your loving arms right there How well I remember that blessed night and following day when duty forced me to depart while you had to sadly stay Those parting verses you so faithfully read to me were sweet kisses that remind me of your parting plea That I live to return to faithfully, happily marry you as you wait like the thirsty grass for the early morning dew...Robert L.

Very romantic poem, Robert! I revisited this tenderly expressed debut poem. True devotion set against the backdrop of external uncertainty and turmoil makes this poetic offering a treasured keepsake for us readers, as well as your soulmate. I am always curious to see what each poet/poetess set forth as their firstfruit offering on PSoup. Yours was a delightful feast for the heart. You are a wondrously God-gifted poet, my dear friend. May love light your path in life always. Romantic Warrior
