A Day Without You

A Day Without You!

My dream ends of you, when my eyes open
and I reach to hold you and you are not there.
My mind starts to wonder with thoughts of you,
and just the feel of your skin with the light touch of you
as I pull the pillow close that smells of you.
This is how my day starts without you.

As I pull the towel across my body I can feel your fingers
caressing my skin again and again. That first sip is a touch
of your lips, a memory of you.
This is another day without you.

As the sun caresses my face with a lite breeze whispering
in your voice, " have a good day". When you return the thought
of me will still be here a reminder
that is hard to bare another day without you.

As my day comes to an end I look to the sky.
Darkness has fallen and in the stars I see you.
I drop to my knees and grasp my hands and pray,
"don't let me spend an another day without you".

Full of longing, and a deep yearning to have this person with you. Beautifully written, my friend! Best wishes, Keith
