A day with Dad - he got tickets to watch some ball. A day with Dad - a great time for this lucky lad, held captive in his father's thrall.  A better time I can't recall - a day with Dad.

Aww, what a sweet piece; cherish your father. It doesn't take a day out to make memories :)

Two thumbs up. All too rare were those days... Sigh...

I had many such days in my youth. Good memories worth cherishing, as you point out

Yes. It's strange, because, in my adult life, I do not like boxing, because the idea of men pounding each other until one of them's brain is so traumatized they can no longer stand doesn't appeal to me. Yet, after writing this, I remembered a day when I went with me dad to watch boxing on something they called "closed circuit TV" in a stadium. I found the same fight on the Internet and watched it, just to try to eek a little more outta that memory.

Hi Kim, uhoh, you're rhyming - lol. Almost everything I write in first person is not really about me, but I must say that this one is 100% about me and my dad.
