A Day On the Lake

Early in the morning With a cup of coffee in hand, I head out back to the old boat Awaiting my command. As I untie the rope Excitement rushes over me, For across the water,in the distance The morning glow of sunrise I see. The day is just perfect I can't wait to get out there, And feel the sun upon my face And breathe in ther calming air. The water is sparkling like diamonds As they shimmer , glitter, and prance, Oh, this lake is so beautiful Doing it's early morning dance. It's going to be a good day Already I can tell, I will be out here sailing Until I hear the evening bell. Then I will head for home Today will be a memory, But I will never forget The pleasure the lake gave to me.
