My own art, it is also on the cover of my book , "Beachcomers'
Summer beneath the azure sky,
Seagulls rest on the air ripple,
Outward, appearing so simple;
Loud and hungry as they go by.
Calm sea on a clear afternoon;
Lost in scented briny cool drifts.
Sound of the sonorousness lifts
Deep navy waters pleasant tune.
Two barefooted young boys basking
In the sun building sandcastles,
Exploring tides pools, sand-beetles;
They piddle round and keep looking.
They run against the ebbing waves
In mirth, and back as it rolls in
Breaking on the beach where it's been.
Waves emerge takes what beaches saves.
Sun yawns a whiff of cool damp air,
A day of fun upon their mind.
Two weary boys leave prints behind,
Sand on bare feet and windblown hair.
