A Day In May

Awakened by a shaft of light
Which filters through into my room
I gaze, enraptured by the sight
Of mauve wisteria in bloom.

The birds unite to serenade,
Cyanic skies embrace the day
And verdant oaks stand on parade
To greet this merry month of May.

Congratulations, Wendy, and thank you for your kind comments. I love wisteria; we had a very large vine when I was a child that I could climb and hide while playing hide and seek.
