A Day Filled With Life'
Up in the morning, promptly at five,
I watch the rest of my neighborhood come alive.
Breakfast consists of a juice and a muffin,
Then I prepare for the day- it will be a tough one'
I find the strength I will be needing,
In my daily Scripture reading.
Then on to work, hoping only,
That my life will reflect what the Lord has shown me.
I know tests and trials will be heading my way,
Along with life's distractions, which vary each day.
I have no fear of those things that are out there,
All I need is my faith and prayer'
Most days area good-only a few are bad,
Walking with Christ brings a peace I've not always had.
Sometimes things happen that should make me offended,
But a forgiving heart makes them quickly ended.
Not that I'm perfect- there's a long way to go,
God is willing to help me grow.
And although this life is not one of ease,
The best way to endure it is down on my knees'
Once I return home and have my dinner,
I will praise Him again that He saved this old sinner.
He promised never to leave me or forsake me,
So I submit and follow where e're He takes me.
I'm not saved by merely singing some song,
But by walking with Jesus all the day long.
And when I wearily drop into bed,
I'm surrounded by angels at my foot and head.
