A Day At a Time
A Day At A Time.
.
Cast no smothering shadow of yesterday
On an uncertain morrow
Nor cutting broken pieces
To tread upon
Hindering your progress
With trauma and anguished pain
Yesterdays troublesome burdens
Maybe too much a heavy load to carry
And will only drag you down again
.
Ignite and strike positive light
To brighten up your gifted day
It may be hard sometimes to muster
When life throws nothing
But rocks at you and arrows
Shot your way
But live for the hour
And take things nor all at once
But live for just the moment
And the day
.
Count your varied blessings
Let gratitude feed your mood
The wealthiest people are not always happy
But the poor may have little expectations
And little possessions
But have a better happier attitude
.
As the good wise book says
Why worry about today
When the morrow
May have its own problems
You can always pray to Yahweh
Through his son Jesus Christ
To give you strength
Ease your injurious burden
And light your way.
.
Look after a gifted today
As the yet unborn morrow
Will take care of itself
Worry only causes undue stress
Blighting your inner strength and health
Live for today
And look after one's self.
