A Date With the Nightsky

" As I sat beneath the nightsky, is all I could see...revel in its entirety,embracing the soft, warm breeze!"

Yet another long, tiring day comes to an end,
And here she comes, once again;
Enrobed in fine black silk ;stretched into a long flowy ball-gown,
Adorned with sparkling diamonds and jade;
Sapphires, emeralds and rubies embedded as though tailor-made.

She makes her way down the horizon before reaching a standstill;
Then glances slightly upwards, instantly hypnotizing me with her magical spell!
I stand there speechless and spellbound,
Staring shamlessly with jaw-wide open; before making a chivalrous rebound!

A little smile illuminates her sweet face,,
A daunting beauty; with impeccable grace!
No words were exchanged between us; the silence grew,
In the unfathomable silence however;
Something wonderful and innocent began to brew

The clock had stopped ticking; the world stopped spinning,
The spaces between us seemingly ceased to exist,
And a surreal ecstasy; embraced me like a mist
Never had I known a feeling more beautiful than this,
For filled with vibrant zest, I suddenly exclaimed- "This is bliss!"

What we shared in that moment of time,
Was nothing short of truly divine.
And as though guided by a mysterious light,
I chanced upon an unusual sight;
" A shooting star!"; I cried with glee,
Overwhelmed, I bowed to thee;
Wishing this moment could stretch into hours;
As I just stand there, gazing at the beautiful stars!

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
