A Darker Thought Mattered

The light promises to fade As the dark encompass do we try to see There are doubts we cannot just shake How shadows only tease for what could be It is easy with the aid of light Be it hard truths or comforting lies before our eyes Harder as with the shade of night Where once truth will cast doubt as with deceptive lies And I embrace the dark that never mattered It’s simply how the light no longer make sense To be more torn than darkness catered To finally see what light will never lend How it strikes me hard yet as pure The need for balance from learnings untaught A one-sided path whether which only paves to endure A life accepting and dismissing without thought In darkness… the light is dead Unable to see… we feel Because the darkness will fade To have light when we already knew ……………..
