A Crying Thirst

We all have a crying thirst for redress
viewed content of the heart and not ones skin
Let’s move forward and never more digress
with patience and love let’s trust, once again
Look to the future and not where we’ve been
as brothers and sisters, we all should live
Truth and forgiveness, is what we should give
there is an urgency staring at us
Such anger and hate, let’s never relive
it’s time to quench this thirst, and refocus
