A Cry For Mercy

A CRY FOR MERCY

                              DEAR FATHER UP IN HEAVEN
                              PLEASE TAKE THIS PAIN AWAY,
                              THAT I MUST SUFFER DAILY,
                              HELP ME LORD I PRAY,

I TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS LORD
AND ACCEPT WHAT IS TO BE,
                             BUT LORD I,M GROWING WEARY
AND THERES SOMETHING I CANT SEE.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MY SWEET JESUS
AND I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW,
THAT YOU LIVE DAILY IN MY HEART LORD
                           AND ALSO IN MY SOUL.

IF THIS CROSS IS FOR ME TO BARE
THEN I,LL DO IT LORD FOR YOU,
JUST TO PROVE TO OTHERS LORD
                          THAT YOU HAVE SUFFERED TO.

OH THE PAIN YOU MUST HAVE BORE
WHEN THEY NAILED YOU TO THAT CROSS,
SO THE WORLD MIGHT BE FORGIVEN,
AND YOUR DEATH,WAS TO BE THE COST.

PLEASE LORD IF IT BE THY WILL TONIGHT
                        FREE ME OF THIS PAIN,
SO I MIGHT GIVE YOU GLORY LORD
                        AND MAGNIFY YOUR NAME.
