A Cracked Heart

We all have felt the loss of love
Experienced heartbreak to the core
We have felt the anguish
When you don't want to live anymore
Hard to see tomorrow, when drowning in sorrow
Relive every moment, flashbacks are so thorough
Pain seems unbearable, beg the gods to take away
No moon in your night
No sun in your day
When the soul feels broken
No words can be spoken
That will soothe the spirit
They all seem so token
Sometimes the hours turn to weeks, endless days
Ruminate on the past, feeling weak, in a daze
But slowly, ever so slowly
The scars start to heal
You experience again what its like just to feel
The ability to love comes back to your veins
But never to the same degree
Because you suffered the pains
