A Cool Talk

Jim is an athletic kid, and this six-feet tall boy is motivated and loves to play basketball; other boys who engage in teens politics often skip gym classes and listen to rap songs. Jim is bullied, punched and knocked down, but always manages to get up and go on; he gives them a threatening look they fear, and while envy stirs them, his buddies cheer. Jim's classmates come around and grab his cap, he shouts, " Sit there and watch the game, learn something, be men and stop this crap!" They show no mindlessness and feel no shame. They yell back, " Hey, Jim, you can't be LeBron James! You are so skinny and pale, your ears are way too big! Drop that bouncing ball and have fun with us chums, we can start a cool talk: we're the dudes you'll surely dig!" Written on 4/19/2017
