A Conscious Breath

Conscious breathing, a conscious breath,
Would my eyes but close in death.

A conscious breath, one more make I,
Away to Paradise with the angels I fly.

A soon departure from this old life,
Laying aside all pain and strife.

My last breath will I soon take,
I’m sleeping here, but in Heaven I’ll wake.

Don’t worry about me, I’m in Heaven fair,
Just do what you must to meet me there.
