A Closer Look

Sometimes moving on is hard
There’s so much past to disregard

But if you look real close to see
You’ll recognize the beginning about to be

It may be sorrowful or may seem sad
But, that’s not to say that all is bad

For if you dare to take a closer look
You’ll find the happier things mistook

It’s not about being a mother or being a wife
But about being more to yourself in life

It’s okay to be scared and it’s okay to cry
But, sometimes the best thing is to say good-bye

so true, sometimes the best thing is to say goodbye! That is terrible what you told me about California. I lived in CA from 85 to 90, felt the SF quake. I was in a kind of scary area. I am glad we left CA because the kids' school was horrible and I am glad I left before my kids could become corrupted by the stuff going on around us. I know some areas of CA are great. I hope you are in an area like that. Luv, Andrea

Love your poem, by the way. I do agree, with your point completely. Moving on is hard to do sometimes, because it is so concreted, in the mind's eye. Being more to yourself in life,is right on, and sometimes that is the kindest thing you can do for yourself, in life. Excellent poem, you have genned, into a good point, from your pen. Smile! Sincere, Love, Moses

As hard as it may seem to move on from a bad experiance in our life, it is sometimes the exact thing we need to do. For if for no other reason, just to get away from the curse, that has come to be in the pathway of our life. For the God of life, is the love that generates life, not the curse that our mind has generated, that we find in the pathway, of our life. So moving on in our pathway of life holds the key, to future blessing in our lives. Sincere, Love, Moses. Love your poem, by the way.

It is hard to move on, Kimberly. I've been trying to do that myself and it seems like obstacles keep popping up. I hope you can dry those tears and find a way to embrace the future. And if you do find a way, please share it with us, OK? This is a very moving poem. Love, Carolyn
