A Christmas Poem

It’s again that time of year

To celebrate Christ’s birth and fill yourself with cheer

Enjoy the cold and the snow

Kiss loved ones under the mistletoe

Let’s make this year one to remember

Rejoice on the twenty fifth of December

Hang stockings above the fire place

Drink eggnog to put a smile on your face

Sing carols by candle light

Read poems like T’was the Night

Wrap presents and put them under the tree

T’is the season to be jolly

Give your candy canes a lick

Put out milk and cookies as you wait for St. Nick

What should you buy them it’s a tough decision

Bask in your favorite holiday tradition

Send your cards and make your calls

Feel the spirit as you deck your halls

Dream of a White Christmas as you look out your window

It won’t be the same without your favorite movie or show

Remember its better to give and watch someone else’s thrill

And toward your fellow man reach out with your goodwill

Give your heart as a gift and never doubt

That this is what this season is all about
