A Christmas Eve Scene

Snow covered ground
In layers of white
Ice in the sun
A sparkling sight

Ducks on a pond
Sparrows in a bush
People about
In hurried rush

Last minute gifts
They are out to buy
Long lines await
Those who get out and try

This day before Christmas
Known to all as Christmas Eve
Is the day that Santa
Packs his sleigh and leaves

On a journey about
All of the world
To leave presents
For good boys and girls
