A Childs Voice


A child needs so much from a parent
If only their voices were heard more apparent

Maybe it would go something like this
Mommy & Daddy, there are things I truely miss

Put down your cell phone or laptop for just a bit
Equal time would be nice, request I submit

Read me a book, maybe one or two
Hugs and kisses I have so many for you

Shouldn't I be more important than that tv you view
Sunshine outside good for me and you

I don't ask for much, just more of you time
Love and smiles I will trade you in this rhyme

Good Night January 25, 2013 at 1:00 AM we sud spend more time with family members and enjoy the outdoors that god gave us than sit at a tv and computer screen i agree nice poem Debra Falgout February 3, 2013 at 7:00 PM I think there needs to be more commercials just to awaken some parents minds to this, and yes the outdoors are a god given gift, thanks for reading, have a blessed day, peace debra
