Notes About The Poem
I beg people to open their eyes and look what's
Going on in the world today.
Children are suffering in poverty and abuse this
Well hidden and can be in many different ways
Trust your institution.
Children don't have a voice give them that voice
CARE.
A child's pain
Can I have some food may I have a drink
I have done the chores and the dishes in the sink.
Can I have a hug please just a little cuddle
Why do you hate me my mind is in a muddle.
I do everything you tell me and I never complain
I'm only asking for some love but your rejection
Causes me pain.
Dreams of love and happiness
My hopes are running wild.
But I don't know what I have done
You see I'm just a child.
