A Childs Divorce
The child with eyes of haunting pain
Reflects an outcome of no gain.
Whilst parents, argue, bicker, shout.
The offspring’s future is in doubt.
Adults engrossed in pure self
Contemplate sharing wealth.
Children - the perfect pawn,
Become the victim of their scorn.
Inanimate objects of meaningless worth
More important than their child’s birth.
And so, with much disregard
A child is condemned through this facade.
Divorce - where parents just move on,
Leaves a broken child who does not belong.
