A Child's Christmas
Curiosity brimming over the edge
Heart that only waits but never demands
Innocence in a glance pure and sweet
Laughter and glee over the simplest gift
Dear and earnest gratifications flow
‘Softly illuminating the wondrous glow
Cheerful in the future prediction
Heart brimming with endless benediction
Rivers of optimism stream and buoyantly flush
Inner being and outward joy a healthful blush
Santa Claus prances with excitement and glee
Tree dear tree how verdant is Thee
Manger of presents abundant yet meager
Awesome, accomplishing role of a giver
Swirling and twirling the soft snow falls
Youthful and innocent how it enthralls
