A Charlieku 3-3-3

driving home
for Christmas
in the snow

my kids wait -
their faces
surely glow

white blinds me -
too slowly
I must go

A very hard Christmas for someone out there wanting to get home for Christmas celebration but slowed down by the snow. Congrats on your winner. Sara

Love this Andrea, by all means please be careful driving in the snow. Great imagery too! Congratulations on your placement and I hope you have a very healthy and Happy New Year...Charlie

Damn right you must be careful driving. i think adults like winter less than kids because they have to plow through snow drifts and shovel the stuff. I remember watching my late father shovel snow when he had cancer. Which I have also had. I thank you a lot for taking the time to send me a holiday card! Happy Xmas! From a Jew in NYC Matthew Anish

Ah, I didn't know the three could tell a story. LOVE your Charlie's (ha) I can't recall ever 'driving' (flying, yes) home for Xmas, but I well remember being caught once in a white-out snow storm - prayed the entire drive. I like, hope he does, too. Love ... CayCay

You are great at these short forms Andrea. The form I have at PFT right now, I doubt I can do. Karen wanted me to have it as the challenge. This should do well in the contest. : ) xxoo

I bet you often see snow causing white-outs in Utah, Andrea. Your beautiful poem make me long for a white Christmas. Not much chance of that here. I'm sure Charlie will love your entry. Sending winning wishes your way! Hugs, Carolyn
