A Change Is Gonna Come

When the time is right and you have surrendered your soul A change is gonna come and God will take hold He will pick you up and turn your life around He will wash away your sins and let the joy come down Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today You can’t clean yourself up there is just no way. Just give yourself over to God and let him use you He will clean you up and make your spirit new. He will be a comforter, a keeper, a guide and a friend He will not forsake you not even until the end Your best friend may leave you and never come around Friends you have spent your life with may no longer be found But God will be there through thick and thru thin You can call on him at midnight for He’s always in Just fall on your knees when you need some direction And He’ll always hear you there’s never a bad connection For what ever is your problem, Jesus is the answer Whether it is financial, emotional, or some kind of cancer When all others say no, God can still say yes Because He knows your heart, and He loves you the best You may have to go through trials, but just continue to pray Cause from adversity comes strength to help you find your way God won’t bring you to it if He can’t lead you through it Put all your faith in God and in Him fully commit Remember, a change is gonna come when you will be made whole A change is gonna come when you will become as pure as gold A change is gonna come that will turn your life around A change is gonna come that will leave you heaven bound!
