A Change Is Gonna Come
A change is gonna come
Not black or white but everyone
For each life matters to someone
Let this day be a meaningful one
I have heard the anguish of mothers
And seen what it means for some others
The blue will stand for the truth told
Where others will not be bold
But violence only begets violence
Where it doesn’t make any sense
For all of us who are looking on
Know love your sister and brother is our song.
