A Cats Life
What will they do now, I am a very ill old cat,
I am Much loved, part of the family, so proud,
Gone off my food, lost weight, not very fat,
My purrs have disappeared, my meows are loud,
I have little interest, sleep all day and night,
I've become housebound, help is required,
Breathing is laboured, I am giving up the fight,
Taken to the vets for advice though not desired,
Thoughts of losing my loving family, regret
I am still a child never grew up, I've been cared for,
I've been so loved by the family, they won't forget,
perhaps not to give me a humane end, would be poor,
Actually making this hard decision so difficult to make,
Doing the right thing must be heartbreak.
