A Cat Named Reflection Part 3

It was then that I ruled out the human was as starved as I was for the reason he tried so hard to scare me away. I also saw containers of water, so I ruled out thirst as a reason to scare me away. As I walked around, I noticed room after room of comfortable things to lay on, and so I did. I curled up to have a very comfortable nap.
Meanwhile, the human now in my body was not doing as well. Every house he ran to, a human would come out and scare him away. Inside my body he desperately used his human voice to get help, but all that came out was a string of "Meows." Trying to dodge brooms and rocks, he panicked, running into and under anything to try and escape the wrath of the humans. Shocked and short of breath from finding himself with the paw on the other foot, he began to cry. He was so frustrated trying to communicate to all the humans that he did not choose to be in this position and that he didn't mean to look so dirty and unkept, but it seemed that nobody understood how frightened he was and how painful his stomach was from the lack of food. Then a thought came to him. He knew he had plenty to eat and drink at his own house and headed toward it, spooked by every sound, fearing it was something else trying to hurt him. Finding his way back to his house, he slowly walked up on the porch, peering into the window. Inside Reflection had woke up from his comfortable nap and walked into the room with the big white box. On his way he noticed in the window his cat body, inhabited by the human, looking in. I bet he's hungry and thirsty, he thought to himself. Well, there is enough to share, as Reflection had compassion on the human. I know what it feels like to be hungry and thirsty. I also know what it feels like to feel unloved and alone. As Reflection opened the patio door and set out a bowl of food and water, the human's heart filled with humility and thankfulness. At that moment there was a loud thunder and flash of lightning as they returned to their own bodies, much more aware of the others feelings. Never again could the human see homeless, hungry or frightened animals as undeserving of love and care.
