A Can of Poetry Soup
Open a can of poetry soup
empty it in a pot with a scoop
Warm and pour into a bowl
stir the broth till the letters show
Are there words that rhyme
thoughts and phrases in time
Add hot sauce to spice it up
and with a spoon eat it sup by sup
Now in your head the poetry goes
another cup of soup and poetry flows
Onto to paper a poem begins
a can of poetry soup is a poets friend
Got it written sounds good
post it quickly as you should
Nothing feels great as a poem well done
A can of poetry soup where the poem begun.
