A Buddy and Baily Christmas

Buddy and Baily slept,
snug in their bed
While visions of Pet treats,
danced in their heads

They knew that soon,
Santa would be
Putting their presents,
under the tree

Their new friend Spike,
was coming today
He was leaving the woods,
for a couple of days

They woke with a yawn,
at the ring of the bell
Spike the Squirrel was here,
and with presents as well

Now, the weather was cold,
and blustery outside
So they sat by the fireplace,
and spoke of Yule tide

Spike had said that his family,
had all moved away
He was moving near us,
and here he would stay

Buddy and Baily,
looked at Spike the Squirrel,
And said " Oh Dear Santa"
the best gift in the world

So that night as they slept,
all snug in their bed
A sleigh with eight Reindeer,
flew overhead

Christmas morning they woke,
and looked at the tree
And a note there that said,
" Merry Christmas from me"

Ho Ho Ho Santa
