A Brother Lost
"Wake up" said the voice, its only something that you dreamed.
When I woke to reality, I hoped it wasn't what it seemed.
Everything was amidst, I couldn't feel you my brother.
I hope your in a field of eternal flowers, reunited with your mother.
Your spirit was beautiful, wild and free.
There was so much to you that the world couldn't see.
Now there's so much we'll never know.
Who you would be, where you would go.
Losing you weighs on me, like atlas holding the earth on his shoulders.
To see you again I'd swim the seas over, roll away any boulders.
I'll tell my daughter of the uncle she would've loved to have known.
How intelligent, wise, deep and kind he'd grown.
Elysium is where I hope your soul may rest.
Heaven isn't good enough you deserve the best.
When my roaming here is done, we'll meet once more.
Keep a light lit for me brother, I hope to find you waiting on the shore.
