A Broken Heart

"What color is a broken heart?", said she.
I laughed at how naive young girls can be.

"Hearts have no color - least none I have found -
A broken heart is all about the sound."

I knew the tears that only I could hear -
And sobs that came from losing someone dear.

I envied that sweet young girl who had still
Not known heartbreak, but someday surely will.
