A Broken Heart
For a heart to break
Love must be at the stake
If there is no love in the heart
It will not break when you part
In any previous separation
It was easy to handle the situation
The heart held no love to be lost
With no fuss, muss or pain to cost
It was different this time
I fell, hook, sinker and line
I really did not know
It would be so hard to let go
It was not like it was before
After the closing of the door
My heart was breaking deep inside
Filling me with pain I could not hide
I had fallen in love and didn’t realize
Until the tears filled my eyes
Now what am I to do
As we are now through
All that is left is to be strong
Just go on living and move along
My heart is bound to someday mend
And I’ll try to not let it happen again
Even though the love felt so good
Enjoying it more than I should
No more will I let love ever start
To experience another Broken Heart
