A Brief Encounter

On bended elbows in the grass,
I watched a caterpillar slowly pass.

It showed no fear that I was there,
and turned its head toward me to stare.

A brief encounter before it passed.
Two earthlings meet in the grass.

I would change meet to meeting, I think it would be more rhythmic. This is a delightful write.

A meeting with another living being is always memorable. Like the last line a lot. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

We are on the same wave link, Matthew. It must have been very memorable for me to remember something that happened many, many years ago, and just now put that experience in a poem! Thanks for writing. :)
