A Brief Contribution

You wanted to be one of the great, idolized masters of poetry But you were let down"by a king full on eights" Weekends after work prove joyous as you relax read the funnies and enjoy ! Who am I to judge you? Maybe someone will like your poetry and prose in a thousand years Find a fragment and discuss it Won't do you too much good But what a FANTASTIC THOUGHT!

This seems sarcastic. I like that. It makes me curious to know who you are talking about! and yes, I figured the DC had something to do with comic books! If you had said Marvel, I 'd have known for sure!! LUv,Andrea

Guess we all share a dream for fame, Matthew! What you describe so well in this poem is exactly what happened to Emily Dickinson. It wasn't until after she died that a trunk filled with her poetry was finally "discovered." I think she expressed her angst well when she wrote "I'm Nobody." It seems that many of the best artists are appreciated long after their demise. Sad, but true. Great work! Got me thinking, obviously. Love, Carolyn
