A Breathless Need

The perfect nothing, fuelled by my need
A place where passion is met with disease
Another honest, playful revenge
This little nothing will play with your head

Pretty colours, lovely disdain
I’ll overcome it whenever I say
Dreaming angel, beautiful hate
I twist your goodness just for a taste

The purest darkness, the deadliest void
Bested only by hearing its voice
The silence answered, and I became
Feigning love is my favourite game

People standing, their hearts my own
I steal their thoughts just so I can grow
A poisoned feeling, something not shown
I am the void and I stay unknown

The perfect answer, the truest of nights
Each time it leaves me I gain more sight
The purest darkness, dissolving the fight
A breathless need to reap every light
