A Break In the Action

Hello good people here I am
A minor break in the action
Things are relatively back to normal
Almost to our satisfaction

Lost no data, thanks to Poetry Soup
In this age of techie type gadgets
So dependant on a very thin line
Our heads must be thoroughly checked

We think this progress is the cat's meow
Till a link in the chain gets snapped
Then we're up the creek without a paddle
We're never prepared for this fact

Does “scary” take on a whole new meaning
Such a perilous journey we're on
Oh for those good ole days back then
When all that worried us was the bomb

So there you have it, my very good friends
Just a minor break in the action
Things are relatively back to normal
Well almost to our satisfaction

My heart almost stopped, as a teenager, looked out my window and for brief second saw massive mushroom cloud rising from parliament downtown... turned out to be a hot air balloon.
