A Bounty From Universe And Its Golden Bowl
Poets dream but reality wakes deep sorrows
world plots and schemes, as future holds our tomorrows
walking oft blinded to treachery and deceit,
setup and shocked, at world's wicked evil we meet,
many a pawn, in a world savage and quite mad
writing to give, wonderful blessing to be had,
within mind, a deep casting from true heart and soul
a bounty from universe and its golden bowl.
Poets may cry and even dare to moan out loud
for what is Truth's worth, if not something to be proud,
or Light and Love, if not set by divine decree,
sweet and gifted treasures gifted to you and me,
wonderment in living and our writings once done
hope given, that man stops stealing by war and gun,
within mind, a deep casting from true heart and soul
a bounty from universe and its golden bowl.
Poets may sing, even if sad and out of tune
with words cast a'plenty, even if thought a loon
bold warriors, with bright shield and a well inked war sword,
defiant- standing against, world's marauding horde,
yet neither as savior nor as a blessed saint
maybe a wizard if great beauty one can paint,
within mind, a deep casting from true heart and soul
a bounty from universe and its golden bowl.
